Welcome to Reception Class!
The youngest members of our school family are in Reception class, where they are taught by Miss Foster, Miss Stockton and Mrs. Wilkinson.
We would like to welcome our new recruits and we hope you will all be very happy in St. Michael's.
Thank you for the great response we have had with our homework menu. The children love showing us everything they have done on Tapestry or in their homework book, but more importantly love getting their raffle tickets and stamps!
These activities will run until the end of term and the menu can be found at the bottom of our class page.
All of Reception Class enjoyed a brilliant visit to Hartlepool Marina to see The Trincomalee. It was very interesting to explore each deck and see what life was like on a fighting ship. Lots of the children said that it was the best trip ever!
Blue Reef Aquarium
Reception Class had a great time at The Blue Reef Aquarium. We all loved the seal show and tried to be very brave when touching the starfish and sea urchin. As it was such a lovely day, we even got to play on the beach and paddle in the sea!
World Book Day
The children were very excited to show us all of their fantastic costumes. We had a lovely day sharing stories and showing our special friends our outfits. We also got to choose a library book to take home and read with our families.
A space rocket crashed into our outdoor area! The boys and girls couldn't believe what had happened. Mr Watchman had to clean up the crash, but he was able to save a part of the rocket for us to play with. Some of the boys and girls thought an alien must have crashed the rocket, so went on a hunt looking for clues to find the alien. The alien has now returned home, but we are still keeping an eye out for any surprise visits!
